Athletics at Grennan College
- Students from Grennan College are very proud to represent their school at regional and provincial level at a range of athletic events throughout the school year.
- With many students being current or former members on Thomastown Athletic Club, Kilkenny City Harriers and othersm we have a wealth of talent and experience across our student body.
- In January of each year, we take part in the South Leinster Schools' Cross Country across distances from 1500m to 4500m. Some Grennan students then go on to compete at Leinster Cross Country Level.
- In May of each year, our students lace up their spikes for the Track and Field events, impressing us with their sprinting, throwing, jumping, middle distance running and, always a favourite, the relay!
- Any student, no matter what their experience, is encouraged to take part in school athletics - the only way is up!
