Grennan College Student Council
Our Student Council is a representative structure for all the students in the school. Its aims are:
- To support the management and staff in the development of the school
- To represent the views of the students on matters of general concern to them
- To enhance communication between students, management, staff and parents
- To promote an environment conducive to educational and personal development
- To promote friendship and respect among pupils
Roles within our Student Council
- Chairperson – oversees the calling and running meetings as well as managing the Student Council.
- Deputy Chairperson – works alongside the Chairperson and deputises when the Chairperson is unavailable
- Secretary – responsible for managing minutes, calendars and dealing with any paperwork in relation to the Student Council.
- Public Relation Officers (P.R.O.s) - oversee social media and manage the Student Council noticeboard in the canteen
- Treasurers – manage and keep track of all finances in relation to the student council
- Class Representatives – All members of the Student Council are class representatives and are responsible for bringing problems and suggestions forward to the Student Council
